Abstract:

The talk will have three parts, discussing electronic transport in three different systems: (i)- A description of incoherent and inelastic scattering region in a quantum wire and a junction of three interacting quantum wires will be discussed. (ii)- A junction of topological insulators with a p-wave superconductor is interesting since such a set-up can drive a non-zero spin current into the superconductor. Results on zero-bias peak, and novel satellite peak in such a set-up will be discussed. (iii)- A recent proposal to enhance crossed Andreev reflection in “normal metal - superconductor - normal metal” will be discussed.
