M.Sc thesis seminar, detailing the development, design, and fabrication of a Josephson parametric amplifier. And developments in impedance matching of JPAs.

The SQC Lab uses superconducting circuits to create artificial atoms as qubits, as well other infrastructure for quantum computing. When measuring weak signals (in this framework and in others), amplification is critical, and noise minimization is paramount. JPAs are able to provide quantum-limited amplification of microwave frequency signals.
