Experimental solid states physics
Optical and electronic properties of semiconductor systems of lower dimensionality such as quantum wells, quantum wires and quantum dots and their applications in quantum optics and in quantum information processing.
Experimental tools: mainly short-pulse lasers and high spatial resolution optics.
