Congratulations to Faculty Member Dr. Ben Ohayon on winning The Nathan Rosen Experimental Physics Prize for Young Physicists during the 71st annual meeting of the Israel Physical Society (IPS).
Ben Ohayon’s research focuses on precision atomic, nuclear, and particle physics. He is a creator and spokesperson of the international QUARTET collaboration, which uses novel cryo-calorimeters to perform x-ray spectroscopy measurements of muonic atoms aiming at an order-of-magnitude improvement in nuclear-radii measurements. His studies impact measurements of fundamental constants and probes of physics beyond the Standard Model.
