Generating synthetic sky maps in the Far-Infrared to test diffuse component separation methods

The motivation for studying the far-infrared cosmic background radiation (CIB) as a cosmological probe will be discussed, along with the development of an algorithm for generating mock sky maps of the CIB and its application for component separation pipelines.
