| Abstract: | We study the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model of SU(4) spins on the triangular lattice with a fundamental representation on each site. Previous results for nearest-neighbors interactions, obtained using variational Monte Carlo (VMC), show simultaneous trimerization and SU(4) symmetry breaking in the ground state. For large enough next-nearest-neighbors interactions, exact diagonalization (ED) and linear flavor-wave theory suggest that an SU(4) Néel ordered ground state emerges. In this work, we use multi-boson flavor-wave theory to capture the trimerized SU(4)-broken state and investigate the transition between these two phases. |
