| Abstract: | We calculate the current-voltage relations in solid state devices of the form metal1|MIEC|metal2 where MIEC is a mixed ionic electronic conductor in which the acceptors are mobile. Due to this mobility complicated I-V relations result. We pay attention to the response of the device to periodic signals. The calculations reveal various types of non linear I-V relations, as well as hysteresis and quasi switching. The defect distribution changes under current are also calculated and allow better understanding of the processes taking place in the device. |
