Abstract:

Since the formulation of the Standard Model in the 1970s, experiments

have demonstrated time and again the ability of  this simple theory to

describe with exquisite precision the  physics of particles and their

interactions.

The Standard Model, however, does not describe important phenomena

such as the matter abundance in the universe and Dark Matter.

The LHC experiments allow us to probe the interactions of particles at

previously inaccessible energies.  In this talk I will discuss how we

look for physics beyond the Standard Model in some of the messiest

events at the LHC.
