Inter-layer coherence length and the critical temperature anisotropy of LSCO

Abstract:

We developed a new method to measure, with one device, two important parameters of superconductors: stiffness, and coherence length. I will present the method, theoretical interpretation of the results, tests of the method, and finally, application to LSCO, a high temperature superconductor. The most significant results of this work are the determination of the ground state inter-layer coherence length, and a solution for the anisotropic transition temperature conundrum.
