תקציר:

Self-trapped beams are a long studied subject in nonlinear wave dynamics. Soleakon—a recently proposed entity [O. Peleg et al., Phys. Rev. A 80, 041801(R) (2009)] is a self-trapped leaky beam. A soleakon induces a leaky waveguide and populates its mode self-consistently and robustly. Soleakons quasitrap themselves for large propagation distances, during which they slowly emit radiation that eventually results in their abrupt disintegration.  In this talk I will present several types of bright soleakons that are solely supported by self-defocusing nonlinearity. These types include scalar bell (fundamental) and higher order dipole soleakons as well as vector soleakons. Interestingly, the modes of vector soleakons disintegrate collectively.
