תקציר:	Self-assembled quantum dots embedded in photonic nanostructures provide a nearly ideal deterministic photon-emitter interface. In this talk I will discuss the applicability of such a building block for deterministic and coherent single-photon sources, single photon nonlinear optics, and photonic quantum gates.
