Our Universe is filled with mysteries: How did our Universe start and how did it evolve? What does it consist of?
A brief history of the Universe covering those open questions will be overviewed, starting with the cosmic inflation which seeded the dark matter density fluctuations.
I will then present a brief history of the dark matter, followed by the discussions on the dark matter search efforts and their future prospects with an emphasis on the complementarity among different dark matter probes.
