Topology and dynamics of electronic phases coupled to confined photons

The interplay between electronic phases and photons opens new avenues for investigating novel quantum states. We explore confined photons and their coupling to various types of electronic matter, including topological materials and semiconductors. Through this exploration, we assess their potential as probes for the electronic states on the one hand and derive their impact on the dynamics in such materials on the other.
