Abstract: | A couple of years ago the very first detection of graviatational radiation was made. What are gravitational waves (waves in the fabric of spacetime may sound good, but gives no idea of what they are)? How can they be detected? How does the quantum mechanics of 40Kg objects come into play? These are some of the questions I hope to answer in this talk. |
