Abstract:

The scientific evidence for human-induced global warming is under attack by politicians, resulting in confusion for many. In this talk, I will present the historical discoveries of key scientific facts, that led to the understanding that a sharp increase of human-produced greenhouse gases is causing rapid warming and other changes in climate (which were recently termed: the climate crisis). I will also discuss the term “climate sensitivity” which currently attracts scientific focus, and show that even the lower estimates of this sensitivity imply that drastic cuts in greenhouse gases emission are needed in order to achieve the <2°C warming target.
