Abstract:

In Cold Dark Matter (CDM) cosmologies, galaxies form inside bound, virialized CDM halos, the clustering of which determines that of the observed galaxies. Galaxy clustering can be quantified in terms of bias parameters. A dependence of galaxy clustering on the halo mass assembly history implies a dependence of the bias parameters beyond the CDM halo mass, for instance formation redshift or mass accretion rate. This effect is known as assembly bias. In this talk, I will discuss the impact of assembly bias on the non-Gaussian bias parameters, which are non-vanishing if the initial conditions of the Universe were non-Gaussian.
