Algorithm Developer WBA

In this job you will:

  • Conduct Research & Development of innovative algorithms for the next generation Optical Metrology of Semiconductor devices

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Algo Research & Development: challenge definition, feasibility research, concept definition, solution development, qualification testing and on-tool implementation
  • Working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of multiple factors
  • Demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Interact with senior internal and external personnel
  • Receiving typically little instruction on day-to-day work and only general instructions on new assignments

What will you need to succeed:

  • Ph.D. in Engineering or Physics (highly experienced M.A./M.Sc. will be also considered)
  • Background in Signal & Image processing
  • Experience in algorithm development and implementation in Matlab / Python
  • Experience with Optical Systems / Microscopy – an advantage
  • Experience in the semi-conductor industry – an advantage

Requested Profile:
• Holder of a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Expertise in MATLAB is required, experience with LabVIEW is a bonus.
• A pre-existing solid background, or a strong desire to acquire knowledge, in several of the following subjects is essential: Infrared Thermography, Optics, Nano-Scale Multi-Physics, Electron-Phonon Interaction, Thermalization in Metallic Substances, Heat Transfer, Acoustics and Measurement Technique Development.
• High level of English language proficiency is required.
• Candidates are expected to be self-motivated, hardworking and team players.
Expected Tasks of the Position:

KLA - Optics Student Engineer 23.10.19

About the group:

  • The R&D Optical Engineering group at KLA is looking for students in Physics, Optics or Electro-Optics

In this job you will:

  • The work is done independently or as a part of a small group of people
  • The work includes defining and executing lab tests as well as performing computer aided analysis
  • Two working days per week (adjustments to the students schedule are possible)
  • Working hours: 08:00-17:00 (adjustments to the students schedule are possible)

Qualifications

  • BSC/MSC students with at least 2 years left until graduation
  • Successfully completed (or taking this semester) the following courses:
  • 1st, 2nd & 3rd Physics courses (including mechanics, electromagnetism & modern physics, courses names may vary between universities)
  • 1st & 2nd labs in Physics (mechanics & electromagnetism)
  • Electromagnetic theory (or an equivalent course)
  • Optics (or an equivalent course)
  • Familiarity in using Matlab
