| תקציר: | Highly correlated quantum materials, e.g., moiré graphene systems, exhibit a rich landscape of ordered phases with highly tunable properties, making them a fascinating platform for exploring non-equilibrium phenomena. These systems ubiquitously exhibit intertwined, often competing, ordering tendencies. In this talk, I will discuss two intriguing dynamic phenomena which are ripe for exploration in these contexts. First, I will explain how stabilization of so-called “false-vacuum” superconductivity comes about near first-order transitions into antagonistic correlated phases, and why should it be readily detectable. Second, the notion of parametric instabilities of many of these correlated tunable orders will be introduced. The strength of the instabilities is directly linked to the fidelity susceptibility, a measure of how sensitively the ground state responds to external perturbations, providing a novel accessible probe of low-energy properties in the solid-state context. Our findings instantiate the exciting opportunities yet to be explored in strongly interacting quantum matter. |
