Strongly correlated materials, Superconductivity and in particular magnetic correlations in high temperature superconductors, Angle Resolved Photoemission spectroscopy, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Nuclear Quadruple Resonance (NMR/NQR), Muon Spin Resonance (MuSR), Samp.
In our lab we prepare crystals of strongly correlated materials such as: Superconductos, exotic magnets and topological insulators, using different methods. Our goal is to understand the physics of these systems by measuring very precisely their electronic structure. Our main tool is Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) a neat technique that allows one to measure the dispersion of electrons in a crystal. We have a state-of-art ARPES setup in the lab and we also travel for ARPES experiments to various synchrotrons in Europe.
