Our postdoc Reuven Balkin (host: Yotam Soreq) won the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship.
Balkin's research focus is the field of particle physics, with the goal of better understanding Nature at its most fundamental level. Reuven specializes in theories which go beyond and extend the Standard Model of particle physics. Among other things, he is interested in studying the interplay between well-motivated hypothetical particles and dense stars, like neutron stars, which can affect the properties of certain theories beyond the Standard Model of particle physics, and vice-versa.
