The Wigner Medal will be awarded to Professor Joshua Zak at the 30th International Colloquium on Group Theoretical Methods in Physics to be held in Ghent, Belgium, in July.
The Wigner Medal is an award designed "to recognize outstanding contributions to the understanding of physics through group theory". The Wigner medal 2014 will be awarded to Joshua Zak for his discovery of the magnetic translation group and the phase and transform that bear his name.
