Abstract:

he Habitability Zone (HZ) is a region in space in which
Earth-like planets may have liquid water on their surface. It's commonly
assumed that any Earth-like planet (size, atmosphere) in this region is
also habitable. Computations of the UV radiation reaching the planet's
surface suggests that not any Earth-like planet in the HZ is
habitable. In the lecture I will present the computation done and
the simulation's results, and discuss how these results affect the HZ
region.
