The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) collaboration, who produced for the first time an image of a black hole in 2019, published new images of the polorized light at the edge of the black hole (in the center of the M87 galaxy) .

 

Roi Rahin, a Ph.D. student in the faculty under the supervision of Ehud Behar and a recipient of the 2019 PhD Ramon Fellowship, reviews this fascinating discovery in an article published in the Davidson Institute, the educational arm of the Weizmann Institute of Science, website.
