Abstract:

Magnetoplasmon modes are excited by microwave radiation in a laterally-confined two dimensional electron gas (2DEG) formed in modulation-doped GaAs heterostructures. The magnetoplasmon electric field is imaged using spatially resolved photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. The mechanism of spatially non-uniform PL spectrum distribution that is due to the magnetoplasmon modes will be discussed.
