Toshiba Memory and KLA visited the Physics Department as part of a visit to the Technion.
During their visit they met with Ehud Behar who shared the vision of the department while focusing on the advanced teaching labs. The labs are designed to introduce undergraduate students to physics experiments with advanced research equipment used in the research labs.
As part of a tour in the teaching labs Yoav Sagi presented the Optics and Waves Lab and in particular demonstrated the Acousto-Optic Modulator experiment. Anatoly Goldman presented the new Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) experiment in the Advanced Laboratory for third year students. Both experimental sets were built with donations from KLA.
