Our Msc student Yonadav Barry Ginat won a Jacobs Scholarship.
Barry's study, instructed by Vincent Desjacques and Hagai Perets, focuses on gravitational-wave emission from astrophysical and cosmological source, and the ways the universe might be studied through these phenomena. One such phenomenon is the emission of gravitational waves from a binary system with a common envelope, that would enable physicists to investigate the internal structure of the envelope of a star using gravitational waves. Barry also studies the stochastic structure of the astrophysical gravitational-wave background.
