Natan Karaev won the CHE scholarship in quantum science and technology
11 December 2025
Congratulations to our PhD student Natan Karaev on winning the CHE scholarship in quantum science and technology.
Natan is a researcher of quantum systems used for superconducting-based quantum computing. His work defines and characterizes new techniques for manipulating electromagnetic modes that serve as the computer’s memory. This research, conducted in the laboratory of Prof. Shay Hacohen-Gourgy, involves developing new methods for initializing modes and transferring quantum states between them. Developing such methods is one of the key challenges on the path toward practical quantum computing, and the outcomes of this research have significant potential to advance the field in the future.
Well done, Natan!
