Open Day for Graduate Studies - Research Day 2025
On the 10th of March, the department hosted dozens of undergraduate students who are interested in an advanced degree in physics, as part of our festive research day that takes place once a year.
✅ Fascinating and diverse lectures by faculty members
✅ Information regrading physics graduate studies at Technion with Prof. Daniel Podolsky
✅ Personal conversations with faculty members (after a tasty falafel 🥙)
As part of the open day the participants attended a poster competition where the graduate students presented their research projects (as part of our "Faculty Research Day"), at the end of which the faculty judging committee selected the exceptional posters:
1st place: Shai Kapon, advisor: Anna Frishman
“Transition To Turbulence In Pipe Flow Minding The Gaps”
2nd place: Frans Van Die, advisor: Vincent Desjacques
“n prospects for the GW background of Galactic (sub)solar mass PBHs”
3rd Place Chaja Baruch, advisor: Yotam Soreq
“New Particles at Fusion Reactors”
Congratulations to the winners who not only won technological prizes but will also represent us in the Technion-wide poster competition!
We were happy to host those interested in an advanced degree, thank you to everyone who was involved in the event!
