| Abstract: | We discuss the properties of Tsunami waves and we derive, using the theory of shallow water, the particular dispersion relation which affects the properties of the wave. We show the resemblance to stellar surface waves. Next we discuss the mechanisms which can generate a such a wave and what is its energy. Can a tsunami occur in the Mediterranean sea? |
