| Abstract: | I will introduce my model for the formation of the Intra-Cluster Light (ICL) in galaxy groups and clusters that has been implemented in a state-of-art semi-analytic model. In order to better understand the content of the results achieved, I will shortly introduce the "semi-analytic approach" in studying galaxy formation and evolution. I will show how the model predictions compare with observational results, how the model can be improved and under which aspects. In a second part of the presentation I will present the latest results achieved after having improved the model and the way to follow to further reproduce the available observations. |
