Abstract: | Abstract:
The Standard Model (SM) of particle physics is our most accurate description of matter and its interactions. The SM has been extensively tested, all of its particles have been discovered, and have been so far successful in providing experimental predictions. However, natural phenomena such as Dark Matter (DM), neutrino oscillations, and the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe, cannot be explained within the SM and call for its extension.
In this talk, a search for new phenomena in final state with two opposite-sign leptons (electrons or muons) with large invariant mass and without b-tagged jets or with exactly one b-tagged jet will be presented. The analysis was done using the full LHC Run-2 proton-proton collision dataset at a center-of-mass energy of √s= 13TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 139fb−1.
In this analysis, we compute the ratio between the two different leptons in the final states which allows us to decrease some uncertainties.
