Abstract:

Observations over the past 4 decades have provided strong evidence that the
central compact radio/IR source SgrA* is a 4.3 million solar mass black
hole. I will summarize this journey and discuss our most recent work, with
milli-arsecond infrared interferometry, of testing General Relativity and
the Massive Black Hole paradigm with precision astrometry and polarization
studies.
