Abstract: | Professor Eanna Flanagan is a young General-Relativist from Cornell University. He is an expert in gravitational-wave physics and in the physics of strong gravitational fields. In 2004 he got the prestigious Xanthopoulos International award for research in Gravitational Physics. His lectures included a colloquium on the new field of gravitational-wave astronomy, a seminar on the radiation-reaction force in General Relativity, and another seminar on gravitational wave phenomena in the early universe. |
