The Physics Department of the Technion announces with profound sorrow the untimely passing of Professor Assa Auerbach.

Professor Auerbach was a leading scientist of high international standing in the field of theoretical condensed matter physics. He mentored many students and postdocs who have become faculty members in Israel and abroad and published books and dozens of research papers. His research has opened new directions in the field.
He will be greatly missed. 

The funeral will take place on Friday Feb. 07 2025, 11:00 at Ein Ayala cemetery
